What is an idol?
any person or thing regarded with admiration, adoration, or devotion.
Quite true in a sense, huh? :)
Well, the topic I'm gonna blog on today is not about my idol lah kay. I knw you guys think that I'm like some idiot raving over Lollipop, but no, I'm not gonna actually blog about them today. Although their name will appear in this post.
Firstly, I'm gonna state it clearly that this post is not pin-pointed @ anyone & if you think that it is you, i never said anything. its your own thinking. So dont go all whiny and start tagging on my board. It just means that you're guilty of your own doing :)
Okay. The issue I'm extremely unhappy about is that people are using their idols now as a money tree. They sell items related to their idols & @ a high price, that is. And the most irritating thing that is pissing people off that those things are fakes. And damn it, they're selling it @ a sky high price then earn like nobody's business.
There's this Miss X who's Lollipop's fan. She's a cheater! Seriously a scammer. Not that I'm being biased here or what, but she's just low down. I mean, if you sell something & you wanna earn money, you wouldn't bring it to that extent. At least, be clever enough to not let people expose you. There's one blogshop selling 态度 tees @ $18, and she sells it @ $60 @ her blog. I can buy like 3 态度 tees & have $6 change still. But its obvious to see through her motive. She just wanna convince people that its real, thus that price. But I dont understand. She's not only cheating people $, but also cheating people of their feelings.
Its like, she never even spare a thought for those people. I mean, being cheated is really a very !@#$%^& feeling lo. Its like the whole thing will be haunting you & stuffs. Thn you'll be thinking why're so dumb to believe the person & bla bla. & so 不甘心。Like why you'll get cheated & stuffs. That girl is also selling 热血 tees, i doubt they're real too -_- ah whatever. One thing that I can't tolerate most is that, she's actually selling non-related stuffs too!
Prince once wore this pair of black framed glasses, & she's selling it as well. Supposedly has star prints on the side but the picture of Prince wearing it is only the front view, it doesn't show that its that pair of glasses at all. urgh. & she's selling Lollipop's 1st experience towel @ $30. Like wth, the whole EP including DVD towel & 200 pages pictorial is only $60. So.. disgusting.
Secondly, I'm actually still okay with such people. Because they're earning stranger's money & I bet they don't give a damn to who they're cheating cuz they don't knw those people. So fine. I'll be fair to them. But what about people who're selling things to their friends?
Do they treat their friends as money making machines as well? Are those 'friends' really considered as friends? I'm not being all grouchy & petty & whiny here. But fact is such. I actually personally do not mind my friends earning a few dollars from me, but maximum like $5 or smthg. But the truth is, I would not even wanna earn my friend's money, you see. I mean, if you treat that person as a real friend, you wouldn't right? I believe the friendship would overpower the feeling of greed @ that moment, no? Its really disappointing & disheartening to have a person whom you treated as a friend cheat you. That kinda feeling sucks. Its not the money that you're being cheated of is hurting. Its the person that you actually trusted that cheated you, and you're feeling sore over that point. When a suspicion is made, you wouldn't feel like investigating it at all, but your curiosity would get the better of you. So, you'll continue to find the truth and as always, the truth hurts. It really does. And it would turn your hurt to hate towards that person.
And that feeling sucks, seriously. I don't hate a person for a reason. And when I do, its really tiring. But it's just a natural reaction.
Thirdly, i hate scammers who last minute change the deal. Like E.G say more money is needed for shipping fees or handling fees. All amount should be confirmed upon the confirmation of the item. Its tentamount to cheating alright. What logic is there to actually increase the charges @ the last minute. It only gives away the fact that you're actually overcome by greed @ the last minute, and is asking for more money to make up for your greed. I despise such people. Seriously. And the reason why i never expose them is cuz i don't wanna make things too ugly. You knw who you're. I shall not elaborate.
Well, this whole post is not about idols but actually cheating of money, ha. But the three things I've mentioned as of above is definitely related to the transaction of selling/buying of things related to idols, and in this case Lollipop.
All the things that are making me angry aside, I'm actually feeling sad. After the lunar event on 12/6, I actually see people carrying big bags, containing tons of Lollipop's autographed CDs inside. I even heard sky high prices of $120 for one autographed CD. It's kinda sad.. Cuz people are actually using their idols for their own greed. And i pity those people who have to buy the CD from them. Its surely because of one way or another they couldn't enter Lunar for that event, so of course they have to get it through such means. So why, can't they empathize with a fellow fan, who actually likes them alot too? Just like how much we adore them, others do to. And put themselves in their shoes. What if the same situation happened to them? Would they be willing to pay a price so many times over to get the disc? Maybe yes, but they'll feel the heartache after that too. If it's me, I'll definitely sell it @ the normal price. Confirm + chop.
Ohwells, maybe really only money talks these days. Tired of this topic le. Making me kinda sad and angry. But well, at least I've said what I wanted to for so so long :) So I'm feeling kinda relieved now. Hehe.
